How can I book an appointment?

Do I need a consultation before a color service?
Yes, for all major color services, you should have an in-salon consultation and allergy patch test at least 48 hours beforehand. This ensures the stylist understands your goals, can assess your hair's condition, and confirms you won't have an allergic reaction, for a stress free visit at the salon.
What should I do if I'm running late?
Please call us as soon as you know you will be late. Depending on how late you are, we may still be able to fit you in, though your service may be shortened. If a stylist has another appointment immediately after yours, you may need to reschedule.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 to 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee, such as a non-refundable deposit for your next booking.
Why do I need a patch test for color if I've had it before?
Allergies can develop over time. A patch test is a safety precaution to protect you from allergic reactions to hair coloring products.

Should I arrive with clean or dirty hair for my service?
For most services, arriving with clean hair is not necessary - in fact for most scalp treating services like root touch ups and bleach - it is a good idea to NOT have clean hair as the natural oils on teh scalp will help adding a protective barrier while wide pen pores after washing will only make you more sensitive.
Most services at the salon will involve a hair wash anyway.
In case of updos, it is a good idea to check with your stylist as sometimes having washed hair from teh day before works better.
How do I communicate exactly how much hair I want cut?
When discussing a trim, it's best to be specific by mentioning exact inches or pointing to a reference on your body, such as "just above the collarbone," to avoid any miscommunication.
At Hair Colour Studio we always have a thorough consultation before the blades are anywhere close to your hair.
Color and chemical treatments
Why should I get my hair professionally colored instead of using a box dye?

How will I know what color is right for me?
During your consultation, your colorist will consider your skin tone, hair's history, and maintenance preferences to recommend shades that will best suit you.
How long does hair color last?
The longevity of your color depends on the type of service and your at-home care routine. To help prevent fading, wash your hair less frequently, use color-safe shampoos, and protect your hair from sun exposure.

What products do you use and recommend?
We use a variety of high-quality, professional product lines chosen for their effectiveness. Your stylist will recommend the best products for your specific hair type and style during your consultation.

What if I am not happy with my hair?
Your satisfaction is our priority. Please contact the salon within two weeks of your appointment to discuss any concerns. In most cases, cuts and colors can be adjusted, and your original stylist is best suited to make corrections at no extra charge.

Are consultations free?
Yes, we offer free, no-obligation consultations for all services. This allows you to meet with a stylist and discuss your desired look. Consultation need to be booked in to make sure a Stylist is available to see you.
